前言:

　　此次展览是当代艺术新秀的一次集体对话。在迅猛发展的大千世界里，艺术家们不断进行自我定位，通过作品展示自我观念，影响当下，塑造未来。他们选择面对艰难，抓住机遇，迎难而上。作品展现事物的对立统一面，通过回顾过去展望未来，展示个人对变革的反思与期待。此次展览的亮点便是——展望未来。

　　The works in this exhibition represent a collective conversation being undertaken by this current generation of emerging artists. These artists are unapologetic in their pursuit to locate themselves and activate their ideas in this rapidly evolving world. They seek to impact the present and shape the future. They chose to confront the larger questions that often do not reflect light, to grapple with the possibilities and conundrums. The work is full with quirks and contradictions, tragedy and humor, echoes of the past and contemplations on the future, personal introspection and calls for revolution. Most importantly this exhibition contains glimpses of a future.

　　A pioneer in art and design education for more than a century, Parsons The New School for Design is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive colleges of art and design in the world. Located in the heart of New York City, the school offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the full spectrum of design disciplines.

　　Critical thinking, collaboration, and reflective practice are at the heart of a Parsons education. A student-centered curriculum allows for both focused and interdisciplinary learning to master concepts, technologies, and research methods that cut across a wide array of fields. Parsons prepares its students to move beyond current paradigms—to anticipate and set trends, rather than follow them, with a focus on how design can improve people’s lives in direct and fundamental ways. 　　The MFA Photography program functions as a 21st-century studio and think tank. The goal of the 26-month program is to prepare graduates to define the creative role of photography within contemporary culture, as practicing artists and scholars. Challenging participants to move beyond current paradigms—to anticipate and set trends, rather than follow them. The BFA in Photography program offers students the opportunity to create multiple bodies of work. Students are challenged both technically and conceptually as they develop their skills through the exploration of analog and digital technology.
