策展人简介：

吴纯和，摄影师兼策展人，当代摄影理论讲师。曾获得视觉艺术学院艺术硕士学位以及纽约哥伦比亚大学教育学博士学位。现就职于新加坡南洋理工大学，任艺术设计与媒体学院的副教授。同时，兼任英国摄影杂志编辑顾问。吴纯和曾参加过近60个国际展览，其中包括北极光摄影节，卢卡摄影节，伦敦国家肖像画廊展，休斯敦国际摄影节。此外，还是俄亥俄州艺术理事会奖学金，韩国艺术协会奖学金，亚伦西斯金德纪念奖学金，联合国教科文组织阿什伯格奖学金和哥伦比亚大学国际奖学金的获得者。
Oh Soon-Hwa is a photographer, curator, and lecturer in contemporary theories and studio photography. She holds an MFA from School of Visual Arts and a doctorate degree (EdD) from Columbia University in New York. She is an associate professor at the School of Art, Design & Media, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Besides, she serves on the Editorial Advisory board of the Photographiesjournal in UK. She has participated near 60 exhibitions internationally, to name a few, the Noorderlicht Photo Festival, the Lucca Photo Festival, the National Portrait Gallery in London, and the Houston FotoFest. She is a recipient of the Ohio Arts Council Fellowship, the Korea Arts Council Fellowship, the Aaron Siskind Memorial Scholarship, the UNESCO-Aschberg Bursaries and the International scholarship fund at Columbia University.

个人作品简介：《代价》Steep Price

吴纯和在《代价》系列作品中，描绘了穆斯林织工在瓦拉纳西的生活和工作状况。当地织工家庭唯一的收入来源就是纱丽买卖，但他们却面临着来自国外，尤其是中国大陆日益激烈的竞争。的确，国内纱丽服饰的产业化已经危及到穆斯林织工家庭传统的家族企业。曾经的纺织技艺口口相传，代代相学。可是在工业化大发展的今天，这类企业的生存发展受到严重威胁，不仅穆斯林织工的家庭受到了影响，他们所学的工艺也惨遭淘汰。

In Steep Price, Soon-Hwa documents the living and working conditions of Muslim weavers in Varanasi who face the increasing competition from foreign countries, especially Mainland China, threatening the subsistence means from families who relies exclusively for their living on the Saree business. Indeed, the industrialization of the Saree business in Mainland China made difficult for Muslim weaver families to compete and safeguard both their traditions and their family business. Know-how techniques were transferred orally. But in this case, the existences of such businesses are threatened affecting considerably these Muslim weavers families and making their acquired knowledge and craftsmanship no longer needed.
