本不想提及“手机”二字，影像就是影像，何必拿器材名称作为前缀？不得不提及，是因为这七位摄影师，都对使用手机拍照片有着特别的情愫。就身份而言，其中包括婚礼摄影师、在校大学生、前媒体编辑、平遥本土摄影师、学院派摄影师、白领上班族、媒体摄影记者。有人迷恋现实，有人逃避现实，逃避的人们试图自我放逐，去追寻一份孤寂与浪漫；而迷恋的人们，唯恐纪实得不够真实、不够有趣，所见非所得。感性的人会被评价不现实，理性的人常被评价太现实，这是性格的不同，而影像恰恰成为了内心活动的出口，成为一种观照自身的上佳方式。命名“现实的不现实的”，是一句很白话的说明性文字，做这个展览，无关“语境”“媒介”云云的探讨，只想直截了当地说明“我们好爱拍照片罢了”。
